DIY: love letters

27 Jun

Hello friends!

I have a fun post day.  I made this note for Jonathan awhile back when he was traveling all over the country interviewing for residency.  It is a fun twist on a regular love letter and I thought I would share it with you.
To make this you will need:
– Scissors
– Twine (one of my favorite supplies!)
– Yellow masking tape
– Any magazine that you like
– Two pieces of thick construction paper
– Scratch paper and envelopes

All you need to do is attach the two pieces of construction paper by taping them together.  Use one piece of masking tape for the outside and use once piece for the inside. Once this is done, it will create a book like note.  Next, I used the twine just for design and wrapped it around the whole letter twice and tied a bow.  The rest is up to you.  I wrote a couple separate notes and cut out pictures of places I know Jonathan and I both like. You can also add more pages to the note if you need more space.  Just apply the tape to both sides of each piece of paper.  And make sure you fold them back and forth a couple times just to ensure the note will close.

I had a lot of fun making this.  It is a great gift for a friend, family member or lover.  Have a wonderful Wednesday!
